Case Highlights

Recovery for creditors. Recently Jonathan successfully represented a Proponent of a Plan of Reorganization in the Confirmation of a Joint Plan of Reorganization of a large retailer. The Confirmation of the Plan by the Bankrtupcty Court resulted in a leveraged buyout of the retailer and the establishment of a creditor's trust, which is anticipated to pay all allowed claims.

Helping recoup millions in Enron bankruptcy. While working for one of New York City's prominent bankruptcy law firms, Jonathan acted as co-counsel for the Enron Corporation during it's Chapter 11 case. He lead the team of ten attorneys in the commencement and litigation of over 1,000 avoidance actions on behalf of Enron, seeking returns of transfers amounting to more than $650 million.

Ponzi Schemes. Jonathan has represented the Court Appointed Receiver in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases arising from two of Arizona's largest Ponzi schemes. In both of these ongoing Ponzi scheme cases, the Chapter 11 bankrtupcy cases have enabled the potential recovery of the investor's net investment losses.
